Chicago post-wedding photos: Nicole & Matt Pitman’s, The Fold

I worked with Emily Gualdoni on two shoots now and I absolutely love the results! She asked me to do hair and Makeup for Nicole Fasano-Pittman & for her husband, Matt Pittman. I’m not going to blog much because these photos below say it all. They are madly in love, and are adorable together. Enjoy! Also Matt is in a band called The Fold. I remembered him talking about the band while I was doing Nicole’s Hair and Makeup && while watching Tv, I saw The Fold on Comcast. You guys rocked! Congrats Matt! Solange Tuyishime Competing for Miss International 2010

On July 23rd and 24th, 2010 I got the opportunity to do hair and makeup for Solange Tuyishime, Miss Canada) for Miss International. She competed for the crown with 33 other beautiful women.

When I arrived at The Doubletree Hotel and Conference, I expected Solange to be a tad bratty, however she is down to earth, fun, entertaining and so intelligent! We would be best-friends if she did not live in Canada! I had so much fun doing her makeup and hair. Isn’t she gorgeous?

Although I did not get a chance to watch the competition, I know all the contestants did an amazing job!Miss Texas won the crown as Miss International, 2010.

Cameras were restricted in certain areas, so I did not get to take a lot of photos. In order to view the images of the competition, I would have to order them before I can post them on here! Boo, but I did manage to take a some behind the scene photos (evil laugh) .

Pure Seduction Fashion Show NOW CASTING!!

I received a phone call today from Mila, one of the producers for Pure Seduction Fashion Show! && Guess what? Not only am I going to do hair and makeup, I am also booking models for the event! Ah ah ah, so exciting!

We are now casting for male and female models for Pure Seduction Fashion show held on October 1, 2010 at The Chicago Regal Theater. The fashion show will be Hosted by * drum roll please* Chris Michaels from WGCI 107.5 & Tommy Black from 103.5!!!! Hot and sexy wear by some of Chicago’s best upcoming designer’s.

NO experience is necessary, however we prefer that you know how to walk with attitude and have a heck of a personality!

Fadro- What I live for!

I was asked to do hair and makeup for a couple of girls in Fadro- What I live for music video! When I got there, they needed more people for the video so I was asked to be apart of it! I have never been in a music video and did not know what was going to happen on the party bus, but I happily agreed to join the crew! I also did makeup for the main girl. Thank you Randy Lee & Christopher Tumtum Kim for having me be apart of it! You guys are awesome! Can you spot me in the video? Here is a hint. I’m the underdressed clueless one =) This video was made months ago, and GUESS WHAT! As I was driving home I heard it on 103.5! WOW! I was blasting the radio up and could not believe what I was hearing! Imagine how Fadro felt! Here is the official music video for What I live For. Great work crew! Victor & Caroline’s Wedding. June 26th 2007

Caroline Kim contacted me back in February about her wedding on June 26th 2007! We talked back and forth, and eventually set a consultation date on the day of her engagement shoot! If you did not get a chance to look at the photos, CLICK HERE. They look lovely together.

Special thanks to Tran My My who helped me curl the bridesmaids + bride’s hair. She is an amazing helper, and I can’t wait to work on more weddings with her.

I did Caroline’s plus her bridesmaid’s hair and makeup. Words cannot describe how blessed and happy I am after viewing Dan Chen’s pictures. He is such an admirable photographer. We are both teaming up again for Mirta Lee’s wedding!

Thank You Caroline for letting me be apart of your wedding. As I am writing this blog, I cannot ask for a better wedding! You, your bridesmaids, and even Victor’s mom (heheeh) were a pleasure to work with! You are such a beautiful bride even when you cry. I hope you and Victor enjoy the rest of your lives together. Ready, set- Introducing my new toy Canon Xti w/ Theresa Le

For those who did not read my last blog, I finally bought myself a camera! I got the Canon XTI! It is not one of the best however it is a great start. For those who are wondering why I am doing so much and need to take a break. Well the truth is, I CANT because there is always something out there that I want to explore and learn about! I am restless. I guess my next road is photography. Photography has always been a passion for me besides hair and makeup. For the past few months I have surrounded myself with amazing and talented photographers and wanted to be not only be the person working behind the scene doing hair and makeup but also be the person behind the camera shooting! I even once held and played with Nikons + Canons camera in one sitting in Zacuto’s The Great Camera Shootout of 2010. Can you guess who the model in the bathtub scene is? YUPP it is yours truly.

Just because I have a camera does not mean I am calling myself a professional photographer. Heck I am far from it. I will continue to learn from my fellow photographers. Gasp, I have a lot to learn and have so many inspirations to look up too! Continue to support me, like you guys are doing now! Thank you for everything, from reading my blogs, becoming a fan— I-love-you-guys! xoxo.

Okay, so the moment you all been waiting for! For those who are wondering who my model was on my last blog (drum roll, please) hehe- She is the beautiful THERESA LE.

I bought my camera yesterday and I could not keep my hands off it! I wanted to shoot something/someone asap! And facebook surely does magic.. I could not ask for a better model for this shoot. I also did Theresa’s hair and makeup! This is her first time modeling and she is a natural! Thank you Theresa for putting up with the heat—the walk–the itchiness from the grass—and those darn mosquito bites! She was perfect!

boudoir-get your sexy on!

My oh my, when was my last blog? I haven’t blogged in ages. Before I left to Vietnam I managed to get a few hair and makeup gigs in. Yet I decided to not broadcast anything until I come back. Boy do I have some juicy details to blog about!

Doing hair and makeup for models for fashion shows/runways is completely different then a boudoir shoot! For runways/fashion show, the models are caked with extreme makeup and their hair is over the top. It is fun and loud! However, I fallen in love with boudoir shoots!

The models normally request a natural I-just-rolled-out-of-bed-look. One who is interested in boudoir normally feels confident with her natural beauty and do not rely on makeup to make her feel sexy. She knows how to rock it without it!

As a hair and makeup artist my goal is to enhance my client’s beauty. I also want to build and maintain a connection with them. By working on a boudoir shoot I get all 3. My model has to trust me + photographer. Each session is so simple yet so darn sexy.

For those of you who are wondering why anyone would consider a bodouir shoot. I, myself did one! =P I was hesitant at first because I do not have the perfect body, nor in anyway in shape. However, I gave it a shot and felt sexy! On top of that, Melissa Diep made me feel so comfortable and she honestly captured my beauty. What do you think? Sexy, but keeping it classy is what I want each boudoir shoot to be.

A person who requests a boudoir shoot normally does not want her images being exposed and I/photographer respect her wishes.

Consider a boudoir session next time if you want to give your boyfriend, husband, or YOU something sexy. Somewhere deep down inside of every woman, there’s a vixen just waiting to get out!

Although I cannot post any pictures of my previous boudoir session with my clients, I would like to share some behind the scene images!
